Firefox 11 Developer Tools Update - You should watch this even if you're not a web developer

+Mozilla Firefox 11 allows a web developer to view the (two dimensional) web page in 3D, showing the different layer of the page.

Remember when everybody said 3D cards are only for gamers?

Nowadays the technology is widespread, and practically every device sold across the market has respectable 3D acceleration, allowing for new applications of the technology in daily tasks.

This is the same path every new technology goes through.

- Huh, I didn't know about this. Firefox 11 has a built-in style editor and a 3D view that stacks elements according to how they're nested in the DOM. It even shows elements that go off the page. Cool!

- for anyone who is not seeing the "3D" button, it's possible that your graphics driver is out of date: wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers
- @kdangoor ok i have the new firefox and i right click inspect element but i dont see the 3d button that the guys it alking about, he did mention that 'if your computer has web grl' the buttons come. i dont know how or what that is. i guess ff is better for web dev
- @lusaka1981 which plugin are you asking about? This video is about tools that are built into Firefox. No plugin required.

- @meenstreek The Web Console shows the request information (including details of each request). For script debugging, you still need Firebug right now. We have a brand new debugger that takes advantage of new debugging infrastructure in the javascript engine. That debugger will likely appear in Firefox Aurora (pre-beta channel) by the end of June.
- That 3D inspector is cool! Would be nice to have for JavaScript UI component debugging.
- So where is all the script debugging stuff? As well as looking at all the requests (xhr/post/images/etc)? You will still need firebug :-/. Guess I'm sticking with chrome till this is implemented.
