How to install Netflix in Ubuntu 14.04 with Firefox [Updated] - Thank you
- EXCELLENT VIDEO, AND VERY LOGICAL STRUVTURED AS WELL. It was easy to follow, and it has been the first set of commands that worked for me. It works very well. as a matter of fact, If I close forefox and save tabs, The movie resumes where it left off.
For those with linux Mint, like myself, Search no farther. JUST DO IT. And when you are finished watching netflix, Do not forget to click on the User Agent Overide icon at the top right of the firefox window to disable The overide.

The only trouble, for me that i saw with the installation instructions was, When I went to choose windows chrome 32, The user agent overide icon was not there. I just restarted firefox, and all worked fine.

Super sweet video instruction ! ! !  :)   THANK YOU.

- How to watch netflix on firefox in Ubuntu Mate 14.04

Before watching and following the instructions on this video tutotorial (which is not mine, by the way. I found it on youtube), be aware that if you instasll and activate the extension mentiond in the video, you may find that you have some problems typing into forms, forum posts etc. The way round this is to simply disable, by default, the extension shown in the video and only enable when you want to watch something on netflix. Then disable it again as soon as you have finished.
- wow thx so much
- Mine isn't working.... Any ideas....?
- I've been watching a lot of videos and trying a lot of different things but for me I just keep getting this 404  Not Found
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mqchael/pipelight/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz  404  Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
- It keeps saying E: Unable to locate package pipelight-mult. please help.
- Este método funciona! É o ideal enquanto não há o HTML5.
- Thanks so much! I've been trying to get this to work for so long. Hallelujah! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
- Does this need to be updated again now? I just went through the process (went fine), but Netflix says my version of Silverlight needs to be updated. When I checked on the Silverlight site it says my version is the one before current. Mine is 5.1.30214.0 and the current version is 5.1.30514.0.
- Thanks so much! This worked really well for me! It's great to see Netflix working so well in Linux!
- Hey I followed the directions and I kept getting the terminal to tell me E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?
Any idea what im doing wrong ? Im kind of new to the terminal and commands alltogether so any help would be appreciated .
